Terms of use
These terms explain the conditions for using MediFile. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
Last updated: 28 July 20261. Purpose of MediFile
MediFile helps users organise personal health records, schedule medication reminders, log observations and share information they choose with health professionals. It is an information-management tool, not a hospital record system.
2. Not medical advice or emergency care
MediFile is not a medical device, does not diagnose or treat conditions and does not replace clinical triage or advice from a qualified health professional. Patient-entered measurements are recorded without clinical interpretation.
Do not use MediFile for emergencies. Contact local emergency services or seek urgent medical care when needed.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and keep records reasonably current.
- Protect your device, password and authentication methods.
- Use another reliable method for time-critical medication needs.
- Share sensitive records only with recipients you trust.
- Use the service lawfully and respect the rights of others.
4. Medication reminders
Reminders depend on device permissions, battery settings, operating system behaviour and correct schedule configuration. Alerts may be delayed, silenced or prevented by device conditions. MediFile does not guarantee that every reminder will be delivered at an exact time.
5. Shared records
You control whether to create a share link or export a PDF. You are responsible for selecting appropriate recipients. A recipient may retain information after viewing it even when the MediFile link later expires or is revoked.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to keep MediFile reliable but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features may change as we improve the service, meet security requirements or comply with platform rules.
7. Intellectual property
MediFile’s software, branding and original content belong to HOST SL or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership. Your personal and health information remains yours.
8. Suspension or termination
Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to address unlawful activity, security threats, abuse or serious violations of these terms. You may stop using MediFile and request account deletion at any time.
