Delete your MediFile account

How to request deletion

1. Send an email to hello@medifile.sl with the subject MediFile account deletion request.
2. Send the request from the email address associated with your MediFile account where possible. If you use phone sign-in, include the phone number on the account. Do not send your password, OTP, medical records or other sensitive information.
3. We will verify that you control the account. We may ask for limited account information, but we will never ask for your password or one-time verification code.
4. After verification, we will confirm receipt and process the request as soon as reasonably possible, normally within 30 days.

Data deleted with your account

After your request is verified, deletion covers:

• Your MediFile authentication account and profile.
• Prescriptions, doctor visits, lab results, health measurements and medical history stored under your account.
• Medication dose records and adherence information.
• Active share links and their stored read-only snapshots.
• Uploaded profile photographs, prescription images and lab-result files associated with your account.

Information that may be retained

We do not keep your active health record after verified account deletion. Limited security logs, deletion-request correspondence or records required by applicable law may be retained only for the period necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legal compliance. Residual encrypted backup copies may remain temporarily during normal service-provider backup cycles and are not used to provide the active service.

If a specific legal retention requirement applies to your request, we will explain what must be retained and why.

Data remaining on your device

Cloud-account deletion cannot directly erase files or cached data already stored on a device you control. After receiving confirmation, uninstall MediFile or clear its app storage in Android settings to remove remaining local copies.

Delete individual records instead

You do not have to delete your account to remove individual records. You can delete supported prescriptions, visits, lab results and measurements from within MediFile. Deleting a supported record also removes its associated uploaded attachment from active storage.
